Tonga / Bullock cart ride: After recieving you with a welcome drink, you will be taken to the local village and the diary farm on the traditional tonga (horse driven cart) or ox driven cart ride. Not only is the ride experience local, you also get an opportunity to see the daily life of villagers in our village.
Traditional Punjabi Lunch: No experience in Punjab is complete without tasting its delicious food. On your return piping hot Punjabi food will be waiting for you. The lunch will consist of lassi, stuffeed naan, daal makhani, sarso ka saag, makki ki roti,locally made white butter, butter chiken, raita and local vegetables. Your special dietary requirements if mentioned at least a day before the arrival can be met.
Tractor Ride to Gurudwara and Sikh History Museum: Post the lunch, a tractor will take you to the local Gurudwara Ghallughara and the Sikh History Museum nearby. You can try your hand at driving the tractor yourself. Ghallughara Gurudwara is around 10 minutes drive away. Listening to mesmerizing Gurubani recitals (Sikh religious songs) is an amazing experience. During weekends a mobile market is set up outside the Gurudwara where local souvenirs can be bought.
Evening Tea / Coffee: On your return, you will be served tea or coffee, pakoras and other snacks like local mathhi.
Punjabiyat is just an hour drive away from Amritsar. It is on the way from Amrtisar to Pathankot or Amritsar to Dharamshala.
